Introduction
Synovial Sarcoma, X Breakpoint 1 (SSX1) is a member of a family of highly homologous synovial sarcoma X (SSX) breakpoint proteins. SSX proteins are localized to the nucleus and expressed in testis and some types of cancers and, hence, they are classified as C/T (cancer/testis) antigens. These proteins may serve as transcriptional repressors. SSX1 genes are involved in the t (X;18) translocations typically found in all synovial sarcomas. This translocations leads to the fusion of the synovial sarcoma translocations gene on chromosome 18 to one of the SSX genes on chromosome X. These hybrid proteins are most likely responsible for transforming activity.
Description
SSX1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 211 amino acids (1-188 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 24.3kDa.
SSX1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Formulation
SSX1 protein solution (1mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M Urea and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 85.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
