Delta-Like 1, also known as DLK1 is a member of the Notch/Delta/Serrate family of epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like repeat-containing proteins which act as ligands in the Notch signaling pathway. Furthermore, DLK1 has six highly conserved epidermal-growth-factor motifs and it also contains up to ten O-glycosylation and N-glycosylation locationss, six of them are differentially glycosylated.
DLK1 Human Recombinant produced in HEK293 Cells is a single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 24-303) containing 290 amino acids including a 10 a.a C-terminal His tag. The total molecular mass is 31.2kDa (calculated).
Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
DLK1 filtered (0.4 µm) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml in PBS and 5% w/v trehalose, pH7.4
It is recommended to add 200µl deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. DLK1 is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.
Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C.
