Introduction
PET117 is nuclear gene essential for the assembly of active cytochrome c oxidase in S. cerevisiae. Nevertheless the gene products are not subunits of the final assembled cytochrome c oxidase complex. PET117 is found in chromosome V proximate the HIS1 gene.
Description
PET117 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 82 amino acids (23-81) and having a molecular mass of 9.5kDa.
PET117 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
The PET117 solution (0.25mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.2M NaCl, 50% glycerol and 2mM DTT.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
