Introduction
Cofilin is a family of actin-binding proteins which disassembles actin filaments. It is a widely distributed intracellular actin-modulating protein that binds and depolymerizes filamentous F-actin and inhibits the polymerization of monomeric G-actin in a pH-dependent manner. It is involved in the translocations of actin-cofilin complex from cytoplasm to nucleus.
Description
Cofilin1 Human Recombinant (aa 1-166) fused to a 20 aa N-terminal His-Tag produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing a total of 186 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 20kDa.

Formulation
The protein solution contains 20mM Tris pH-8 and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
