After having sequenced the light and heavy chains of Swant’s monoclonal anti- Na + -Ca2+ exchanger protein (cardiac IgG1) antibody 3RF1, the antibody was generated by recombinant methods in HEK293-cells. The antibody was evalsuated for specificity and potency by the biotin-avidin labelling of cryostat or vibratome-sections of 4 % paraformaldehyde fixed tissue.

 The recombinant antibody 3RF1rec against Na+ -Ca2+ exchanger protein (cardiac) specifically localizes Na+ -Ca2+ in the plasma membrane of the heart using free-floating or mounted sections. The recombinant method guarantees the continued production of a constant titre of this recombinant anti-Na+ -Ca2+ exchanger protein (cardiac) antibody with the same specificity and chemical identity

Immunohistochemistry: 1:500 - 1:1'000, when performed with the avidin-biotin method. 

Immunoblots: 1:100 with an indirect peroxidase method. 

Remark: you have to use an anti-human secondary antibody. 

We recommend that the optimal dilutions be determined by titration experiments.

For long storage, keep at - 80°C (or at least - 20°C). For continuous use, keep at 4°C (with 0.01% Na-azide). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing
