After having sequenced the light and heavy chains of Swant’s monoclonal anti-calbindin D-28k IgG1 antibody (300), the recombinant antibody with a human Fc-fragment was generated in HEK293-cells. The antibody was evalsuated for specificity and potency by the biotin-avidin labelling of cryostat or vibratome-sections of 4 % paraformaldehyde fixed tissue. 

The recombinant antibody 300rec against calbindin D-28k specifically localizes calbindin using free-floating or mounted sections of brain, kidney and pancreas of probably all vertebrates with the exception of fishes. 

The recombinant method guarantees the continued production of a constant titre of this recombinant calbindin D-28k antibody with the same specificity and chemical identity

Immunohistochemistry: 1:500 - 1:1'000, when performed with the avidin-biotin method. 

Remark: you have to use an anti-human secondary antibody. 

Immunoblots: 1:100 with an indirect peroxidase method. 

We recommend that the optimal dilutions be determined by titration experiments.

For long storage, keep at - 80°C (or at least - 20°C). For continuous use, keep at 4°C (with 0.01% Na-azide). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing
