Description	The Gateway cloning system from abm is a flexible cloning method that allows for easy subcloning of one Entry Clone into a wide variety of destination vectors. Gateway technology makes it easy to study your gene of interest using many different promoters and tags. It eliminates the need for restriction enzyme digests or ligations by harnessing the natural ability of phage λ to integrate its DNA into E. coli DNA at specific attachment (att) sites. Gateway reaction recombinations are conservative, directional, and always maintain reading frame. The Gateway system uses both positive selection (antibiotic resistance) and negative selection (toxin-producing ccdB gene) during transformation, ensuring a high proportion of successful recombinants. Use abm’s BP Clonase Mix (Cat. E082/E083) with a pDONR vector and your gene flanked by attB sites to create your own Entry Clone, or purchase an ORF Vector from abm’s extensive library. It’s then quick and easy to insert your gene of interest into any destination vector using our LR Clonase Mix (Cat. E084/E085).
