Description	IU-TAB-1 Cells are established in vitro through the isolation from tissue derived from patient with stage II thymoma, classified as type AB. These cells are able to proliferate in culture and are valuable for research in thymic malignancies. This is particularly useful in studies relating to the cellular and molecular mechanisms of cancer biology in thymomas.
Procedure Overview
Propagation	Grow cells in T25 ECM-coated flasks (G299) with the following conditions. The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow II medium available from abm (TM002). To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium with the final concentration: 10% fetal bovine serum (TM999) and 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin (G255). Atmosphere: air: 95%, CO₂: 5%; Temperature: 37.0°C.
