心脏成纤维细胞为心肌细胞提供结构支持，并负责在生长和病理生理条件下心肌细胞外基质的合成。CF是心肌损伤反应的重要细胞成分和旁分泌生长因子的来源。CF的增殖和基质合成对于心肌梗塞、心肌纤维化部位瘢痕形成具有重要作用。CF的培养已被广泛应用为生理（运动）和病理（高血压）应激下心脏基质重塑研究的模型。
Sciencell研究实验室的HCF是从人心脏分离得到的，原代冻存，冰冻运输。每管细胞密度*过5×10^5/ml。细胞特性经纤维粘连蛋白免疫荧光鉴定。本细胞经检测不含HIV-1、HBV、HCV、支原体、细菌、酵母菌和真菌。如采用ScienCell 实验室特制的培养基，可保证此细胞15倍增增殖。
